For patients

The Lithuanian Urological Society maintains a close partnership relationship with patient organizations and represents the interests of not only urologists, but also patients. If you have any questions regarding the representation of patients' rights, the availability of the latest treatment methods or cooperation with the Lithuanian Urological Society, please contact us by e-mail: info@lud.lt

At the same time, the Lithuanian Urological Society invites you to participate in the Early diagnostics of prostate programme

Prostate (anterior gland) cancer early diagnosis preventive programme is intended for men aged 50 to 69 years (inclusive) and men aged 45 and over, if their parents or brothers have had prostate cancer, who can periodically undergo a blood test showing prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentration in the blood. If the PSA level exceeds the norm, the family doctor issues a referral to a urologist, who, if necessary, performs a certain test called prostate biopsy.

However, if you feel unwell but do not fall into the prescribed age group, consult your family doctor. He will carry out the necessary tests and, if necessary, issue a referral for a consultation with a urologist.
